Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Lord Ashley of Stoke, on Tuesday, 24 April 1990, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 2 members in total.
Right to Die
That this House notes the growing interest in the right to death with dignity; recognises the valuable work of the medical profession in alleviating suffering; believes, however, that people have the right to die when they wish; and calls upon the Government to bring before the House proposals which, subject to stringent safeguards, would facilitate this.
