Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Mildred Gordon (Labour), on Monday, 29 November 1993, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 40 members in total.

DOCKLAND SINGERS

That this House congratulates Andrew Campling on his initiative and work in forming the Dockland Singers in November 1992; notes the excellence of their recent performance of Handel's Messiah at Christchurch on the Isle of Dogs together with the Dockland Singers' Concertante Orchestra; and wishes to record the fact that despite recent derogatory publicity about the Isle of Dogs many good things are happening in this area thanks to the work of individuals like Andrew Campling and of community groups, many of whom are starved of funds.
