TURKISH INVASION OF SAFE HAVENS

That this House condemns the recent invasion by Iraq by Turkish forces and the bombing of United Nations protected areas which are supposed to be safe havens; is concerned that thousands of civilians have been displaced from the supposed safe havens by the Turkish forces; calls upon the Security Concil to condemn this illegal and aggressive action by the government of Turkey and to authorise the use of force, if necessary, to repel the Turkish invasion and protect civilians; and calls on the European Union to reject Turkey's application for a Customs Union until such time as Turkey acts according to the rule of international law and ends human rights abuses in its own country.
