Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Alan Williams (Labour), on Tuesday, 1 May 1990, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 42 members in total.

Imprisoned Lorry Driver in Greece

That this House is appalled that a British citizen is in a Greek prison because of the incompetence of British Ministers who failed to act on information previously made available to their Departments; holds the Government responsible for the plight of a young man legitimately carrying out his work; and calls upon the Government not only to secure his immediate release but to compensate him for his ordeal.
