SIXTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE TIANANMEN SQUARE MASSACRE
That this House notes that 4th June 1995 marks the sixth anniversary of the tragic massacre at Tiananmen Square, which resulted in at least 1,000 deaths of unarmed students and demonstrators, by the Chinese authorities; and calls upon the Chinese to adopt a more liberal and humane policy on human rights and prisoners of conscience as a sign of a more tolerant regime in China.
