Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Baroness Maddock (Liberal Democrat), on Thursday, 8 June 1995, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 63 members in total.
USE OF BED AND BREAKFAST ACCOMMODATION IN LONDON
That this House welcomes the publication of the Out of Sight report, which details the growing numbers of homeless people booking themselves into bed and breakfast accommodation in London; whilst welcoming the current drop in local authorities' own use, remains concerned that this form of inadequate accommodation is wasteful of public expenditure; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to continue to work towards the ending of the use of this type of accommodation.
