That this House congratulates the honourable Member for Dover for his courage and persistence in exposing systematic nepotism and corruption on Labour-controlled Monklands District Council; believes that Professor Black's report vindicates his actions; notes the remarks of Monklands District Council officials that what had been discovered was not unusual in many councils throughout Scotland; and urges the honourable Member for Dover to continue his investigations.
