FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FOUNDING OF THE UNITED NATIONS

That this House congratulates the United Nations on the occasion of its fiftieth anniversary; recognises that the ideals which inspired its foundation in San Francisco in 1945 are still valid; and hopes that, in view of the current unrest in various parts of the world, it will continue to seek the peaceful resolution of conflicts and work for greater understanding between nations.
