GRAVESEND GRAMMAR SCHOOL FOR BOYS AND GRANT MAINTAINED STATUS
That this House congratulates the parents of the Gravesend Grammar School for Boys on their 70 per cent. in favour of the school achieving grant maintained status; recognises the leading role taken in the successful campaign by the Chairman of the Governors, Mr Eric Hammond; notes the negative campaign against the school by the Labour-Liberal Democrat-controlled Kent County Council at the expense of council taxpayers; and wishes the school further success in the future.
