MRS VICTORIA OMOULABI: APPEAL AGAINST DEPORTATION

That this House expresses its dismay at the decision by the Home Office to reject an application by Mrs Victoria Omoluabi to be allowed to stay in the United Kingdom for a further two years with her three children while her eldest child, Femi, who is a British citizen, completes his education; notes that Femi is an outstanding pupil at St. Edwards College, Liverpool, but recognizes that as he is only 16 years old he needs his mother's presence and support to enable him to complete this crucial stage of his education; further notes that Mrs Omoluabi, who came to Liverpool with her children when her husband was stationed in the United Kingdom with the Nigerian National Shipping Line Limited, has worked hard as a care assistant for both the community and her family; and calls upon the Secretary of State to make an exceptional decision to enable the family to remain together for two more years until Femi is old enough to pursue his academic studies independently.
