Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Ivan Lawrence (Conservative), on Wednesday, 15 February 1995, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 48 members in total.

LABOUR PARTY AND EDUCATION

That this House condemns the double standards of those Labour politicians who send their children to grant-maintained schools, grammar schools, private schools and schools outside their area and, in doing so, contravene the policy of their own party; furthermore demands to know why Opposition honourable and Right honourable Members should seek to deny to others the rights of parental choice they exercise for themselves; and calls on the Labour Party to stop the blatant hypocrisy.
