Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Eddie McGrady (Social Democratic & Labour Party), on Wednesday, 14 December 1994, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 19 members in total.
CLOSURE OF RATE COLLECTION AGENCY OFFICES IN NORTHERN IRELAND
That this House expresses deep concern about the decision to close eight regional rate offices in Northern Ireland; and views this decision as a contradiction of government policy to sustain rural communities, a denial of democratic dialogue and an example of the many circumstances where local accountability has been lost.
