Early day motion, on Monday, 30 January 1995, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 39 members in total.

BROMLEY COUNCIL AND SUNDAY TRADING

That this House is shocked to learn that Bromley Council has forbidden the parishioners of St. Edmund of Canterbury's Catholic Church in Beckenham from parking outside their church after 9.30 a.m. on Sundays; is even more affronted that the reason given is to facilitate Sunday shopping at the local Sainsbury's; recalls that this was not in the spirit expressed by the Home Secretary in his presentation of the Sunday Trading Bill; and strongly urges the Council to reverse its decision instantly.
