ENVIRONMENT AWARD FOR ENGINEERS
That this House congratulated the finalists in the Annual Environment Award for Engineers, and particularly the 1996 winners, George Giles, Richard Smith CEng, Richard Hunt and Malcolm Wilson CEng MIEE, who developed Normalair Garrett's Environmentally Friendly Air Cycle Air-Conditioning for Trains; and commends the Engineering Council and the sponsors of this award for the way it recognises and encourages good practice in the enhancement of the environment by individuals and teams of engineers in Britain.
