Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Lord Bilston (Labour), on Tuesday, 30 April 1996, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 70 members in total.

BLACK COUNTRY WELCOME HOME

That this House warmly congratulates Black Country Tourism and the four Black Country boroughs in their excellent initiative Welcome Home to the thousands of ex-patriate Black Country folk who will be returning to their roots this summer from around Britain and the world for a happy holiday, docking at Dudley Port, basking by the 'sea' in Bilston, watching the illuminations at Walsall, musing in the Museum of the Black Country, whilst endlessly enjoying the warmth of welcome and generous hospitality always readily available by those who have stayed at home.
