Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Mildred Gordon (Labour), on Monday, 26 February 1996, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 51 members in total.
ISLE OF DOGS, BT AND LEB
That this House deplores the fact that people, whose homes have been damaged by the bomb at Surrey Quays and have been moved to new homes, are being charged ??40 by BT for reconnection and that the LEB will only reconnect people on the power key system, a payment system usually reserved for debtors, to which a stigma is attached and which is more expensive.
