Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Jim Spicer (Conservative), on Wednesday, 28 February 1996, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 21 members in total.

TENANTS' MILK QUOTAS

That this House recognises the disadvantageous treatment of those former tenant farmers who left the dairy industry in the two year period between the precipitate imposition of milk quotas by the European Commission in 1984 and the consequential delay in the introduction of domestic legislation in 1986, enabling outgoing tenants to be compensated for their share of value of the quotas; and calls on the Government to devise a scheme for the making of ex-gratia payments to the persons concerned.
