Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Martin Redmond (Labour), on Wednesday, 13 March 1996, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 47 members in total.
DUMPING OF CLINICAL WASTE FROM HOSPITALS
That this House calls for a public inquiry into the management failures which allowed clinical waste to be disposed using private contractors at a price which was so much below that of reputable contractors that management should have been alerted to likely serious problems; and notes the dangers to which the public have been exposed and the extent to which dumped clinical waste is still untraced.
