Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Colin Pickthall (Labour), on Wednesday, 13 March 1996, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 35 members in total.
CAR BOOT SALES
That this House, while recognising the valuable role played by genuine car boot sales run for charitable purposes, believes that the Secretary of State for the Environment should strengthen local authority planning powers to ban so-called car boot sales which are clearly commercial outlets from those rural and residential areas that the local authority deems unsuitable.
