Museums and Galleries Improvement Fund
That this House warmly welcomes the launching of the Museums and Galleries Improvement Fund; congratulates the Government, the Wolfson Foundation and Wolfson Foundation and Wolfson Family Charitable Trust on this joint initiative which will provide an initial ??12 million over three years for priority work for museum projects; and further applauds the Minister for the Arts on this major step forward following his unprecedented ??180 million three-year building and maintenance programme for museums and galleries, announced in the arts budget in November.
