That this House notes with dismay that Karamjit Singh Chahal on 6th February, will have been detained in Bedford Prison for 2,000 days; further notes that Mr Chahal is being detained on grounds of national security and that he has been convicted of no offence in the United Kingdom; expects his case to be considered next month by the European Court of Human Rights; and calls on the Home Secretary to release Mr Chahal on temporary release so he may be reunited with his wife and two British-born children.
