ISLAND OF IMIA
That this House views with the gravest concern the actions of the Turkish Government in laying claim to the islet of Imia in the Aegean; notes that the 1932 agreements between Italy and Turkey settled the question of the sovereignty between the Turkish Anatolian coast and the Dodecanese group of islands and that this sovereignty was transferred to Greece in the Paris Peace Agreement of 1947; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to ensure that these international agreements are upheld and respected by all nations in the interests of peace in the region.
