CONDUCT OF THE HON MEMBERS FOR NORTH WARWICKSHIRE AND OXFORD EAST

That this House notes that the Official Report for Monday 12th February records that the honourable Members for North Warwickshire and Oxford East voted in the No Lobby; notes that as official Labour Front bench spokesmen they acted in defiance of their Party's whip; considers their action to be in clear breach of collective responsibility and is at odds with their Party's declared policy on Europe; notes that had they been in the majority they would have put the United Kingdom in breach of the Maastricht Treaty; and calls upon them immediately either to confirm their error or to resign their positions as spokesmen.
