DR BAYO OMOYIOLA
That this House deplores the decision of the Home Office to reject the appeal against deportation of Dr Bayo Omoyiola who has been a legal resident of the United Kingdom since 1989, is employed as a housing officer with the Liverpool City Council, has the support of Archbishop Worlock, Bishop David Sheppard and other church leaders and his trade union UNISON of which he is branch president; and calls on the Secretary of State for the Home Department to reconsider his decision to deport Dr Bayo Omoyiola to Nigeria in view of the concern expressed by honourable Members.
