2004 OLYMPICS IN ATHENS

That this House supports the return of the Olympic Games in 2004 to the birthplace of the Games in Greece; believes that holding the Games in Athens will enable the International Olympic Committee to plan for a return to the original ideals of the Olympic movement, combining the spirit of competition, excellence and good organisation without excessive commercialisation; and calls upon Her Majesty's Ministers to support the Athens bid.
