Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Bill Walker (Conservative), on Monday, 24 February 1997, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 1 members in total.

RIVER TAY FLOOD RISK AND FLOOD MANAGEMENT (No. 2)

That this House notes that the politically-motivated public statements by the young, unworldly Deputy Leader, Councillor Ewan Dow, of Perth and Kinross Council about flood management schemes and public funds may have an adverse effect on the efforts being made by the Council and the honourable Member for North Tayside to obtain the substantial grants needed to fund current proposals; and further notes that more detailed in-depth discussions with other bodies, including Scottish Hydro Electric plc about the River Garry may be necessary before a full programme of flood management can be implemented.
