VOICE FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND ADOPTION

That this House commends the work of the Voice for International Development and Adoption of Hudson, New York, USA, a state and federally recognised charity, which in the absence of a similar organisation in the United Kingdom, has assisted over 50 British applications with proper procedures and legal arrangements for intercountry adoptions from Central and South America; notes that overseas adoptions have higher success rates than domestic adoptions; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to assist the establishment of voluntary British organisations specialising in overseas adoption.
