CARE AND REPAIR TENTH ANNIVERSARY

That this House congratulates Care & Repair (England) on its 10th anniversary as an organisation committed to improving the housing conditions of vulnerable people living in private sector housing through developing and supporting a network of local home improvement agencies; which have assisted over 100,000 people to improve their house conditions; and recognises, following the implementation of Part 1 of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996, the continuing need for home improvement agency services to assist older people, people with disabilities and other vulnerable households to repair, improve or adapt their homes in order to remain living in the community in comfort and safety.
