SERVICES FOR PEOPLE WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES

That this House welcomes the progress that has been made in providing support and services for people with learning disabilities in the community, notes that there is still a small minority of people with learning disabilities who are still living in long stay institutions; and urges the Government to implement the recommendation in Building Expectations - Opportunities and Service for People with a Learning Disability for further improvements in the extent and quality of community-based services.
