Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Lord Corbett of Castle Vale, on Wednesday, 11 November 1998, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 32 members in total.
ENFORCED CHRISTMAS NIGHT PUB OPENING
That this House resents the instruction by Bass Taverns that its managers must open their premises on Christmas night; regrets that Bass is abandoning its former practice of allowing staff to choose whether to open on this special night; and calls upon the company to rescind its instruction so that staff may spend Christmas evening as they choose.
