SUCCESSION TO THE CROWN
That this House congratulates Lord Archer of Weston-Super-Mare on catching up after 14 years with this House, into which the Succession to the Crown Bill 1982 was introduced with all party support; and notes that Canada, as a result, ratified the UN Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women without the exception to protect discrimination in the succession to the Crown which the United Kingdom considered necessary.
