ALZHEIMER'S AWARENESS WEEK (No. 2)
That this House notes that Alzheimer's Awareness Week, 5th to 11th July 1998, this year takes the theme of memory; notes that over 700,000 people in the United Kingdom have Alzheimer's Disease or another form of dementia; recognises the importance of research into memory and dementia; congratulates the Alzheimer's Disease Society on its care for those whose memories are damaged by dementia and the support it offers to carers; and acknowledges the Alzheimer's Disease Society's continuing commitment to high quality medical and psychosocial research.
