50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE STATE OF ISRAEL

That this House congratulates the State of Israel on its 50th Anniversary; recognises Israel is a vibrant, diverse and democratic society; applauds its achievements in 50 years, having now become a world leader in medical, agricultural and technological development; celebrates the warm relations between Britain and Israel; welcomes Britain's extensive trade links with Israel; and looks forward to the successful conclusion of a comprehensive peace settlement for the benefit of all those living in the region.
