Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor George Howarth (Labour), on Tuesday, 30 January 1990, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 32 members in total.
Taylor Report and the Football Association
That this House notes that the report of the inquiry by Lord Justice Taylor into the Hillsborough stadium disaster explicitly sets out in sections 51 to 58 the sorry record of poor leadership in the sport and its contribution towards this tragedy; and in the view of the clear failure of the Football Association to defend the interests and security of spectators calls for the resignation of the Chairman, Chief Executive and Management Committee of the Football Association.
