That this House is concerned by the practice amongst some companies of selling or transferring lists of their customers to other companies without explicit authorisation of those customers; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to legislate to prevent the transfer of the names, addresses or other data relating to customers by one company to another without an explicit and positive instruction from the customers involved.
