SLIMMING DISEASES

That this House is deeply concerned that over 5,000 children are being treated on the NHS for serious eating disorders; believes this problem is growing; calls upon the Government to bring forward proposals to regulate the diet industry; and believes the fashion industry and leading image makers should be called upon to act in a responsible way by using young models more representative of the population, instead of unhealthily thin young people who are increasingly seen as role models by vulnerable children.
