Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Gordon Marsden (Labour), on Tuesday, 25 November 1997, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 44 members in total.
BROADCAST OF THE HISTORY CHANNEL BY TELEWEST
That this House notes with concern the decision by Telewest to drop The History Channel from its cable television areas; believes that this will deprive both academic and general interest viewers of an informative, educational television channel, in particular by denying GCSE and A level history students a valuable educational resource; and calls on Telewest to put The History Channel back on air.
