Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Ann Clwyd (Labour), on Friday, 19 December 1997, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 43 members in total.

IRAQ EXECUTIONS (No. 2)

That this House notes with dismay reports that more than 800 prisoners from various Iraqi opposition groups have been executed by the Bagdad regime in recent weeks as part of a so-called prison cleansing scheme ordered by Qusay, Saddam Hussein's second son and head of the Special Security Organisation; and urges the United Nations to set up a permanent international criminal court to try Saddam Hussein and his closest associates on charges of war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide.
