Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Ivan Henderson (Labour), on Wednesday, 2 July 1997, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 39 members in total.
PROTECTION OF LOCAL HOSPITAL SERVICES
That this House urges that local community health services such as maternity units, casualty units and in-patient facilities, supported and fought for by local communities over many years, should not be sacrificed to meet any financial short-falls resulting from the bureaucratic excesses of the NHS internal market created by the previous Government.
