Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Nick Palmer (Labour), on Tuesday, 28 October 1997, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 68 members in total.
FAIR TRADE TEA AND COFFEE IN HOUSE RESTAURANTS
That this House, in the light of widespread concern that the producers of tea and coffee in developing countries fail to receive a fair share of the price charged in Britain, urges the Catering Committee to take a lead on behalf of the House by instructing all catering departments in the House to serve only Cafe Direct, Clipper Tea or other 'fair trade' products.
