HENDON CONSERVATIVE ASSOCIATION
That this House notes with concern the press accounts of the actions of George Ward, Hendon Conservative Party Chairman and of the Hendon Conservative Association, including the 'lock out' of the party agent, the expulsion of a councillor and former councillor, both Conservative candidates at the 1997 General Election, the suspension of the constituency secretary, and the packing of meeting and the memebership list with friends and associates of George Ward, including many employees of Grunwick; and calls upon Conservative Central Office to suspend Hendon Conservative Party, pending the holding of an investigation into these serious matters.
