Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Ivan Henderson (Labour), on Thursday, 4 November 1999, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 14 members in total.
CLOSURE OF BARCLAYS BANK AT WALTON ON THE NAZE
That this House deplores the decision of Barclays Bank to close its branch in Walton on the Naze in Essex, which will greatly disadvantage the elderly, those without transport and the hard working business community by leaving the town without a bank; and believes that Barclays Bank should give greater consideration to the long-standing, loyal customers within Walton on the Naze whose needs have been ignored.
