Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Stephen O'Brien (Conservative), on Wednesday, 24 November 2004, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 72 members in total.
RENEWABLE TARGETS
That this House notes that the Government's targets for producing electricity from renewable sources are 10.4 per cent. by 2010 and 15.4 per cent. by 2015 with an aspiration of 20 per cent. by 2020; notes that most industry experts believe that the achievement of these targets is extremely unlikely; and calls upon the Government to explain how it plans to reach these higher targets given the present low capacity of renewable generators.
