Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Stephen Hesford (Labour), on Tuesday, 26 January 1999, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 127 members in total.
EXPERIENCED TEACHERS AND THE LMS FUNDING FORMULA
That this House recognises the undesirable and unintended consequences of the local management of schools funding formula for schools on the employment prospects of older and experienced teachers; further recognises that many such teachers are discriminated against and are unable to secure long-term engagements; and calls for the Government to urgently review this situation.
