ATHENA PROJECT
That this House welcomes the recent launch of the Athena Project, supported by the higher education funding councils, Committee of Vice Chancellors and Principals, Standing Conference of Principals and the Office of Science and Technology, on 23rd February; further welcomes its aims of increasing the number of women at all levels in higher education particularly in science, engineering and technology; and notes that this, together with the database provided by the Women in Higher Education Register, will raise the profile of women and increase their participation and progression in higher education.
