Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Norman Baker (Liberal Democrat), on Wednesday, 29 November 2000, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 2 members in total.

BT TELEPHONES IN POLEGATE

That this House believes that telephone faults should be remedied by the company as soon as possible; notes that tens of houses in Polegate including those where residents are dependent on lifeline services, have been without telephone connections for almost four weeks; further notes that BT have given firm assurances of reconnection dates to the honourable Member for Lewes on four separate occasions within the last fortnight none of which were met and that by 29th November phones remained dead; condemns BT for their hopeless inefficiency in this matter; and calls for an immediate reconnection of phones and for BT to issue an apology to the residents of Polegate.
