HEYSHAM AND BELFAST PASSENGER FERRY LINK
That this House wishes to congratulate Sea Containers Ferries Ltd on their decision to restore the historic passenger ferry link between the ports of Heysham and Belfast; notes that the new fast seacat ferry service, which comes into operation on 31st March, will provide a much-needed boost to the seaside resorts of the North West of England, the Lake District and the Northern Irish tourism industry; and recognises that this positive initiative by Sea Containers is a tangible benefit of the Northern Ireland Peace Agreement and that it will be welcomed by communities on both sides of the Irish Sea.
