NATIONAL TREE WEEK

That this House congratulates The Tree Council for organising National Tree Week, which this year is taking place from 24th November to 5th December in which groups all over the country will be preparing tree planting events; congratulates The Tree Council for promoting the planting and conservation of trees; recognises the fantastic achievements of The Tree Council, Trees for Cities, the Woodland Trust and other associated organisations working towards a cleaner and greener Britain; notes that Britain is still one of the least-wooded countries in Europe; and further notes that such publicity campaigns are key for raising awareness to the benefits of woodlands and trees.
