MILLENNIUM GREENS
That this House warmly congratulates the Countryside Agency on its role in helping 250 urban and rural communities in England to create their own millennium greens with ??10 million of Lottery money from the Millennium Commission; notes that the Millennium Greens programme has been enormously successful, with thousands of people designing, creating and owning their green; and further praises the contribution millennium greens have made to the quality of life for those living in the area, by creating permanent breathing spaces for all to enjoy.
