Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Ernie Ross (Labour), on Thursday, 14 December 1989, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 40 members in total.
Detention of Nurses in Gaza Strip
That this House expresses its concern at the arrests of Nurse Abed Abdel-Razik Al-Ajrami and Nurse Suheil Al-Tluli, who were until their arrests, working in the orthopaedic unit and the intensive care unit of the Anglican-founded Al-Ahli Hospital in the Gaza Strip; further expresses concern that neither their families, nor medical colleagues, had any news of their whereabouts for several days after their arrests; and urges the Israeli government to release them forthwith so that they can continue their valuable work.
